	Wendy Kuzmick Howdy! My name is Wendy and I just might be one of the first contacts you make with our office. I am 1/2 of the 'Front Desk Dynamic Duo'. Insurance Coordinator is also a part of my title, which means I will be happy to handle any of your insurance needs. I am a certified orthodontic assistant and worked chair-side for seven years before coming to work with Smith Orthodontics in 1998. Originally from Virginia, I relocated to Florida in 1979. My husband, Jeff, and I now live in Winter Springs with our pet family. Frankie and Johnny are our two Italian Greyhounds whose pictures are displayed at my desk. Joshua, Prissy, Bitty and Baby are our four cats and we also have a 90 gallon fish tank. Yes it's a lot of work, but sooooo worth it! I also try to find time for my hobbies; Yoga, reading, music (I'm a COUNTRY GIRL, but collect 50's and 60's music), cross-stitch, roller-blading and movies. Even though I have lived in Florida most of my life, I still get picked on because of my southern accent so, y'all come on by n see me now, ya hear? Return to top
	Julie Burton-Hearn Hello! My name is Julie Burton-Hearn! I have been in the orthodontic field since 1995! I have been a certified orthodontic assistant since 1999, but my position at Smith Orthodontic Specialists is a Treatment Coordinator/Assistant Office Facilitator. I really enjoy helping new patients learn about beginning their orthodontic journey and the benefits that come from having a beautiful smile and improved self-esteem! I am a native Floridian. I love spending time with my family, traveling, doing home improvement projects, singing, volleyball & rollerblading. My family & I are members of Orlando Baptist Church & love the Lord! My husband, Daniel is a banker and we have been married since 1999. I have a son named Preston (born 2006). My husband and I both love & enjoy him very much! I look forward to meeting you very soon! 	Nancy Koscoe Hi there! My name is Nancy and chances are you may never see me in the office! I stay behind the scenes (mainly attached to my computer) and help "fix things". My official title is Office Facilitator/Task Manager/Dr. Smith's Personal Assistant. I began working with Smith Orthodontics Specialists in 1997 as a Treatment Coordinator and continue to love being a part in creating beautiful smiles! I'm sure you have already learned that our office is a very exciting place. We strive to create a fun-filled atmosphere for our patients with exciting contests and events! At the end of a busy day at the office, I look forward to enjoying a beautiful sunset overlooking the St. John 's River with my husband, Steve. We spend our spare time in our riverfront home that we share with our pet frogs. We are blessed with a total of 6 children and 5 grandchildren. 	Doreen Osborne Hello, my name is Doreen! I have been working for Dr. Smith since he was just a 'baby doc'! I've enjoyed working with the practice as a Patient Manager creating beautiful smiles since 1983. I've lived in Florida most of my life and LOVE our warm weather. It lets me enjoy all my favorite hobbies like boating, jet skiing, fishing and working in my yard. I am married to a great guy, Paul, who is one of the most experienced real estate brokers in Central Florida. We share a beautiful home on the St. John's river with our two daughters, Laura and Alyson. Return to top
	Debby Fann Hi, my name is Debby and my position on the Smith Team is Records and Triage Technician. I have the privilege of taking the digital x-rays and images before they enter treatment and then again after their smiles have been transformed. We have a very upbeat practice with events and contests for our patients. I don't have any problem getting them to smile for that final picture! I also help out in the clinic when needed, since I have clinical chairside experience. I have been with Smith Orthodontics since 1999 and in the orthodontic field since 1971. I have seen many new technological changes throughout my career, which keeps work challenging and fun. My husband and I have been married since 1971 and we have 2 daughters, Kristy and Kelly. We feel blessed with our first grandchild, Drew, he is the apple of his grandfather's eye. We have a cat named Powder and a very active lab named Ana. In my spare time I like to go boating and fishing in the Keys and Homosassa Springs. We also enjoy camping, cooking for our friends, reading, walking and travel every chance we get. Return to top
	Barbara Meeks Hello, my name is Barbara. I was born and raised in Florida. I like to stay active and love the outdoors. My family, grandchildren and friends keep me busy. My husband and I attend Northland Church, in Longwood, and enjoy serving the Lord whenever we have the opportunity. I started my orthodontic career with Smith Orthodontics as a Patient Manager in 1988. I love taking my patients through the orthodontic experience! The best part of my job is getting to know each family and watching the confidence grow as we develop a beautiful smile together. 	Gilda W. Stewart Hi, I’m Gilda and I love being a member of the Smith team! I have been in the orthodontic field since 1980 and I really enjoy working as a Patient Manager creating beautiful smiles! I was born and raised in Maryland and relocated to Florida in 1976. I recently got married (April 25, 2003) to a wonderful loving man, that has two beautiful daughters. I have a son who turned sixteen and drives a new car, spoiled plus "scary”. My son is involved with the Orange County Explorers and loves it very much. 	Donna Mullins Hello, my name is Donna and I have been in the medical field for over 20 years and really enjoy orthodontics for how it helps to build great smiles and self esteem. I am a true Floridian, believe it or not born right in Orlando. Now, I live in the country with my horse and two dogs. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, all 11 of my nieces and nephews, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. 	Tricia Brightman Hi, my name is Tricia and I have lived in Florida since I was 4 years old. I am happily married to a wonderful man, Andy, and the proud mother of two beautiful children, Devon and our new baby girl, Amber. I’ve worked primarily in healthcare and childcare and love that orthodontics allows me to do both. It brings me great joy to watch someone from start to finish, creating a beautiful smile. 	Shelly Wingo Hello, I’m Shelly and I am one half of the front desk team that you see when you step into our office. I am the voice on the phone that greets you when you call. I have worked in sales and customer relations since 1990. I am a fifth generation Floridian and was raised in historical Sanford. I am quarter Creek Indian and enjoy gaining knowledge of my heritage. I am blessed with a wonderful family which includes my two teenage daughters, Madelyn and Taylor, my other half, Brian, who has two sons of his own Matt and Tyler. We try to spend as much time together on weekend getaways in Georgia and deep sea fishing trips to the Keys. I look forward to helping you during your orthodontic care. Return to top
	Adriana Erqeuta Hi, I’m Adriana and I am one of the newer members of the Smith team. I have lived in Florida the majority of my life and graduated from Lake Howell High School. I am the mother a very energetic little boy. I chose the orthodontic field because I enjoy helping create beautiful smiles. I am an easygoing, playful person who loves animals. I plan on taking up traveling as a hobby instead of shopping. We’ll see how that goes! 	Shelly Katz Hello, I’m Shelly Katz. I enjoy my position as a Treatment Coordinator and feel honored to be a part of this wonderful practice. It is a pleasure meeting with new patients and assisting the team in creating beautiful smiles to enhance patient self esteem and health. I have lived in Florida since 1970 (a long time) and graduated from Lake Howell High School. I have been in the orthodontic field since 1999. I am blessed with 3 beautiful children, David, Danielle, and Tori. I enjoy spending time with my family, outdoor recreation, bike riding, interior designing, crafts, and exercising. I am a leader at “ Church in the Son ” and will be leading my own cell group of women in the near future and truly love the Lord. I look forward to meeting with you and your families. 	Kadia Lai Hi! My name is Kadia but everyone calls me Kay! I am the sterilization technician for Smith Orthodontic Specialists. Also, I am in training to be a chair-side assistant. I joined the Smith Orthodontic Specialists Team in October 2006. I am originally from Jamaica and relocated to Florida in 2003. 	Elizabet Torres Hi everyone! My name is Elizabet Torres but everyone calls me Betsy. I’ve been a part of Smith Orthodontic Specialists since March 2006. I was born in Connecticut and lived there until age 11. From there, my family moved to Puerto Rico. In 1997, we returned to the United States and found Florida to be our new home.
